A community built by women, for women.
AAWO was founded to provide Albanian women in the United States with a safe, welcoming, and empowering community.
Many immigrant women experience isolation while adapting to a new culture, language, and environment. AAWO was established to help women overcome these challenges by offering guidance, mentorship, education, networking opportunities, and social support.
For years, AAWO has been run entirely by volunteers whose dedication has helped hundreds of women and families integrate successfully into American society while maintaining strong ties to Albanian culture and traditions.
Today, the organization serves as a bridge connecting generations of Albanian women across the United States and around the world.
