A Word From Our President

When women are supported, entire communities flourish.

Welcome to the Albanian American Women's Organization "Motrat Qiriazi."

Our organization was founded on a simple but powerful belief: when women are supported, entire communities flourish. Through mentorship, educational programs, cultural initiatives, and social support, we work to empower Albanian-American women while preserving the values and traditions that define our heritage.

Inspired by the extraordinary legacy of Sevasti and Parashqevi Qiriazi, we remain committed to creating opportunities, fostering leadership, and strengthening connections among Albanian women across generations and borders.

We invite you to join our growing community and become part of a legacy that continues to transform lives.

Our Namesake

The women who changed Albanian history.

Sevasti and Parashqevi Qiriazi — the Mothers of Albanian Education — championed the radical idea that girls deserved the same education as boys. In 1891, they helped open the first Albanian school for girls in Korçë, a milestone in Albanian women's emancipation.
